Children's Worship Service

10:30 A.M. in the Family Life Center
Westford United Methodist Church is blessed with many wonderful children and consequently we offer a varied program.

Children, ages 4-11, are dismissed from our 10:30 AM Worship Childrens special music day service during the "Passing of the Peace". The children then go to the Family Life Center for a quick snack and juice, then to their own Worship service. Our Children's Worship program is under the direction of Linda Burris, Jennifer Burris, Tammy Alexander and Dee Jewell. Our Children's music director is Ann Barbee. We have many of our Youth who volunteer to clean up after snack time and even help act out a Bible Story or help with games. We have adult volunteers on a rotating schedule who help out also.

The Children's Worship service follows the same order of worship as Big Church; the children bring in God's light with the lighting of candles, ring bells to chime the hour, take up offering, read the Scripture, sing songs and have a scripture lesson. Linda, Jennifer and Tammy have a scripture lesson one Sunday and the next Sunday is review and a craft. We also have special people from our congregation who are gifted teachers and story tellers who have the lessons for us. The Children have parties, sing songs with the church band Four 13, have puppet shows, plays, work on mission projects and have a great time praising our Lord and Savior, all the while preparing them for Big Church. The children sing for the congregation throughout the year and have special music at Easter and Christmas.

Children are invited to join us in our time together as we fellowship and grow in the Lord.

Parents may pick up their children following the 10:30 AM service in the Family Life Center. Children will not be allowed to leave the classroom without their parents.
